Speech Pathology can help to decrease the presence of foreign accent and help you sound more 'Australian' if you speak English as a second language. Many corporate workers throughout Sydney attend our offices to receive our Accent Reduction service.
A Speech Pathology assessment is recommended if:
♦ Unfamiliar people have difficulty understanding your English accent.
♦ Clients or colleagues have difficulty understanding your accent, thus affecting your communication in the workplace.
Accent reduction therapy involves changing speech patterns, including:
♦ Pronunciation
♦ Intonation
♦ Rhythm
Therapy can also be beneficial if you want to learn an accent other than Australian English, which can be particularly beneficial if you will be working overseas.
We are now offering corporate accent reduction / speech fluency group therapy for a small group of professionals:
Rachel Granter, a Speech Pathologist with over 20 years experience will be conducting these group sessions. Rachel is a native Australian speaker and specialises in the area of accent reduction. Each group member will receive an initial 1:1 consultation with Rachel to determine the most important goals to be targeted within the sessions. All resources provided during the group sessions will apply to your individual goals and each group member will receive a different package to take home each week.
